Hear the Unheard Salisbury Cathedral commission 2024
Sound installation in the cloisters of the Cathedral included in Our Earth exhibition
Listen to some of my field recordings of birds from four different continents resonate along the arched walkways in the cloisters of the cathedral. Hear calls, cries and songs from Africa, North America, Asia and Europe as you take a stroll or sit and contemplate.

Some melodious, some jarring the different cries echo around the cloisters, woven together in a soundscape of unknown messages.

The speakers have been mounted on stands made from the scaffolding boards that were used for 37 years to restore the Prisoner of Conscience window in the Trinity Chapel, and weighted down with unused stone from the Cathedral.
